Aluminum Bar

6061 (Cold Finished) ASTM B211

This specification covers rolled or cold-finished aluminum and aluminum-alloy bar, rod, and wire and includes the following UNS alloy designations: A91060, A91100, A92011, A92014, A92017, A92024, A92219, A93003, A95052, A95056, A95154, A96061, A96110, A96262, and A97075. The temper conditions covered by this specification include: O, H14, H18, H12, H16, H112, F, T3, T4, T42, T451, T6, T62, T651, T36, T351, T851, H32, H34, H36, H38, H111, H192, H392, T 89, T94, T9, T73, and T7351.

6061-T6511 (Extruded) ASTM B221

This specification covers extruded bars, rods, wires, profiles, and tubes made from aluminum and aluminum alloys. All the products should be produced by hot extrusion or similar methods. The chemical composition of each material is determined in accordance with the specified suitable chemical and spectrochemical test methods. Samples for chemical analysis should be taken when the ingots are poured or from the finished or semi-finished products by drilling, sawing, milling, turning, or clipping. 

6061 (Forged) ASTM B247

This specification covers aluminum and aluminum-alloy die forgings, hand forgings, and rolled ring forgings and includes the following UNS alloy designations: A91100, A92014, A92018, A92025, A92219, A92618, A93003, A94032, A95083, A96061, A96066, A96151, A97049, A97050, A97075, A97076, and A97175. Tempers covered by this specification includes: H112, T4, T6, T61, T73, T74, T7352, T7452, T7454, T652, T852, and H111 as well as F and 01 types.

7075-T7351 (Cold Formed) ASTM B211

This specification covers rolled or cold-finished aluminum and aluminum-alloy bar, rod, and wire and includes the following UNS alloy designations: A91060, A91100, A92011, A92014, A92017, A92024, A92219, A93003, A95052, A95056, A95154, A96061, A96110, A96262, and A97075. Aluminum Plate

2024-T351 ASTM B209

This specification covers aluminum and aluminum-alloy flat sheet, coiled sheet, and plate in the alloys and tempers shown in Tables 2, 3, 4, and 5, and in the following finishes:

  • Plate in all alloys and sheet in heat-treatable alloys: mill finish.
  • Sheet in nonheat-treatable alloys: mill finish, one-side bright mill finish, standard one-side brifinish, and standard two-sides bright finish.
  • Alloy and temper designations are in accordance with ANSI H35.1/H35.1M. 

6061-T651 ASTM B209

This specification covers aluminum and aluminum-alloy flat sheet, coiled sheet, and plate in the alloys and tempers shown in Tables 2, 3, 4, and 5, and in the following finishes:

Lead Brass

260 ASTM B36

This specification establishes the requirements brass plates, sheets, strips, and rolled bars made from UNS C21000, C22000, C22600, C23000, C24000, C26000, C26800, C27200, or C28000. Plates are generally available only in the hot-rolled temper. The standard tempers of as hot rolled, rolled, annealed, and annealed-to-temper materials are detailed in this specification as well as in other specifications listed herein. 

330 ASTM B135

This specification covers seamless round and rectangular including square copper alloy tube in straight lengths. The following copper alloys are specified and classified according to their nominal compositions: UNS No. C22000, UNS No. C23000, UNS No. C26000, UNS No. C27000, UNS No. C27200, UNS No. C27400, UNS No. C28000, UNS No. C33000, UNS No. C33200, UNS No. C37000, and UNS No. C44300. The tempers of drawn tube shall be designated as light-drawn (H55), drawn (H58), and hard-drawn (H80).

360 ASTM B16

This specification covers free-cutting brass rod, bar, wire and shapes of any specified cross section suitable for high-speed screw machine work. The material is Copper Alloy UNS No. C36000. 

385 ASTM B455

This specification covers the requirements for extruded leaded-brass angles, channels, and other architectural shapes of solid cross section produced in Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C38000 and C38500. The material shall conform to the chemical composition specified. For copper alloys in which zinc is specified as the remainder, either copper or zinc is permitted to be taken as the difference between the sum of results for all elements analyzed and 100 %. 

485 ASTM B21

 This specification establishes the requirements for rods, bars, and shapes of naval brass with Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C46200, C46400, C47940, C48200, and C48500. Tempers available under this specification are M30 (as-hot extruded), O60 (soft annealed), O50 (light annealed), H60 (cold headed and formed), H02 (½ hard), and H04 (hard). 


Lead Free Brass

353 ASTM B121

 This specification establishes the requirements leaded brass plates, sheets, strips, and rolled bars made from UNS C33500, C34000, C34200, C34000, C35000, C35300, or C35600 copper-zinc-lead alloys. Each product should be manufactured by hot or cold working, and annealed if required, to produce a uniform wrought structure that meets the specified temper properties. 

464 ASTM B171

 This specification establishes the requirements for plates, sheets, and circles cut from plates and sheets made of UNS C36500, C44300, C44400, C44500, C46400, C46500, C61300, C61400, C63000, C63200, C70600, C70620, C71500, C71520, or C72200 copper alloy. These materials are recommended for use in pressure vessels, condensers, and heat exchangers.
